There Is No Box:
Why This Community Exists

Relationship · Surrender · Transformation
Matthew 19:26
Outward Success. Inward Emptiness.

68 Years of Life,
Business, and
Learning to Know God

I am 68 years old. I have traveled internationally for business, visiting over 60 countries. I have built companies. I have lost everything — and then rebuilt it all over again. By the world's standards, I have known success.

But success did not answer the deeper questions. I discovered that winning by the world's standards can still leave you completely lost.

I know the profound emptiness that comes when you build an empire and realize you are still unfulfilled. I know this because I came close to taking my own life.

"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Matthew 19:26  ·  The Foundation of No Box Thinking

The Turning Point

Born Again in Denver, 1988

A moment that saved my soul — and the beginning of learning the difference between believing in God and truly knowing Him.

For most of my life, I was a horrible, sinful individual. I was chasing success, drinking, taking drugs, sleeping around, and I was entirely spiritually bankrupt. The turning point came in 1988 when I was born again at a Marilyn Hickey service in Denver. That moment saved my soul.

But being born again did not instantly change how I lived. For years I had "Sunday faith" — and then operated Monday through Saturday through self-reliance: my plans, my understanding, my control.

"Believing in God and surrendering to Him are two very different things."

Slowly I realized that surrender, relationship with God, and allowing biblical truth to transform how I live are fundamentally different from simply believing in God. Jesus defined eternal life in John 17:3: "This is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." Eternal life is not only something we receive after we die. It begins now, through knowing God. Christianity is a relationship, not merely a religion.

That is where No Box Thinking comes from. We are constantly told to "think outside the box." But that still assumes the box exists. The box is a human construct — built out of fear, assumptions, past experience, culture, other people's expectations, our need for control, and even our limited understanding of God.

"There is no box. God is limitless. We are not — but we should never impose our human limitations on what God can do."

When Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible," He was not telling us to believe in ourselves. He was telling us to stop allowing human limitations to define what is possible when God is involved.

And now, at 68, I read Psalm 92:14 differently: "They still bear fruit in old age." No Box Thinking is also a statement that God is not finished with us because of age, failure, history, or circumstance.

I created this community for Christian entrepreneurs and faith-driven leaders — not to hand you a better formula for success, but to walk with you as you know God more deeply, hear Him more clearly, take faithful action, and multiply what He has entrusted to you. We still work. We still plan. We still build. But responsibility is ours. Control is not.

The Four Pillars

Know. Hear. Step. Multiply.

Transformation that terminates with us isn't multiplication.

01

Know

Know God. Know His Word. Know your identity in Christ.

Recognize the beliefs, assumptions, fears, and false limitations shaping your life. We begin with truth.

02

Hear

Learn to recognize God's voice and direction. Quiet the noise.

Separate truth from fear, ego, culture, emotion, and our own assumptions — through Scripture, prayer, the Holy Spirit, and relationship with God.

03

Step

Faith must eventually become action. Take the next faithful and obedient step.

NBT is not about endless learning. We do not want people hiding behind more information when God has already shown them what to do.

04

Multiply

Take what God has entrusted to you — your experiences, gifts, knowledge, resources, relationships, opportunities, and testimony — and use it to serve others.

Transformation becomes impact.

KNOW → HEAR → STEP → MULTIPLY The more we know God, the better we hear. The better we hear, the more faithfully we step. The more faithfully we step, the more God can multiply through us — and then the cycle begins again at a deeper level.

I.T. = Information + Transformation

Information without transformation is just accumulation.

Information comes from the Word of God. Transformation happens through the Word of God. And that transformation must eventually show up in the way we actually live. We don't measure success by how much you know. We measure it by what changes.

Romans 12:2  ·  "Be transformed by the renewal of your mind"

Not This. This.

What No Box Thinking
Is — and Is Not

What NBT Is Not

Not Another Self-Help Program

  • ✕Generic positive thinking
  • ✕"Manifest whatever you want"
  • ✕A prosperity gospel
  • ✕A hustle culture program with Bible verses attached
  • ✕Christian motivation without biblical foundation
  • ✕A promise that believers can accomplish anything they personally desire
What NBT Is

Relationship. Surrender. Transformation.

  • ✦Relationship before religion
  • ✦Surrender before control
  • ✦Truth before assumptions
  • ✦Transformation before information accumulation
  • ✦Faith before certainty
  • ✦Action after hearing — and multiplication beyond ourselves

God is limitless. That does not mean we are limitless. It means we stop making our limitations the measure of His possibilities.

The Member Pathway

Roughly 30–90 Days of Transformation

No Box Thinking is a transformation pathway, not simply a content community.

Over roughly 30–90 days, we help you:

  • Identify the boxes controlling your thinking
  • Replace false assumptions with biblical truth
  • Develop a deeper relationship with God
  • Learn to hear and discern more clearly
  • Take practical, faithful action
  • Build consistency and accountability
  • Use what God is doing in you to serve others

The goal is not for you to say after 90 days, "I learned a lot." The goal is for you to say: "I know God more deeply. I hear more clearly. I act more courageously. And my life is changing because of it."
